ClassRise Terms of Use

Effective date: October 22, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Genuinely Great Integrated Technology, a Wyoming company ("GGiT", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of ClassRise. They govern your use of the ClassRise mobile app, websites and related services (the "Services").

Please read these Terms carefully. The "Dispute resolution" section requires most disputes to be resolved by binding individual arbitration instead of in court, and waives class actions and jury trials. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as explained in that section.

Accepting these Terms

By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy (https://ggit.dev/classrise/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. ClassRise is a personal self-improvement app for adults. It is not directed to children or minors, and it is not designed or offered for use by students, schools or other educational institutions. By using the Services you confirm that you meet these requirements.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the app on devices you own or control, and to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must also follow that store's usage rules.

Accounts

An account is required for the core features of the Services, including keeping your progress across devices, subscribing and using Chamberlain. You create one by signing in with a third-party account such as Google (and, where offered, Apple). You may try a limited version of ClassRise without signing in. A trial uses an anonymous ID, cannot subscribe or use Chamberlain, and its data cannot be recovered if you sign out or uninstall before signing in; if you sign in from the trial, its data carries over to your new account (unless that sign-in account already has a ClassRise account). These Terms apply to trial use too. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information. Tell us promptly at support@ggit.dev if you believe your account has been used without permission. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account) or at https://ggit.dev/classrise/delete-account.

Subscriptions, free trials and auto-renewal

The daily lesson is free. ClassRise Coach is an optional paid subscription that unlocks Chamberlain, the AI coach, and the full archive of lessons you have opened.

We will send any acknowledgment or notice about your subscription that applicable automatic-renewal laws require, using the email address or store account you provided.

Chamberlain, the AI coach, is not professional advice

Lessons and Chamberlain provide general educational content about manners, conduct and character, often drawing on historical stories. They are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice, and using them does not create any professional relationship. Chamberlain's replies are generated by artificial intelligence (currently a Google Gemini model) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unsuited to your situation. Historical stories are presented for reflection and may simplify events. Do not rely on the Services as a substitute for professional advice. Use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional before acting on anything that matters to your health, safety, legal rights or finances. If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, contact local emergency services immediately (in the US, call or text 988, or call 911).

Please do not share sensitive personal information with the coach. You can report any reply using the "Report" link under it. Coach use is subject to daily limits, which we may change.

Your content

"User Content" means reflections, coach messages, reports and other content you submit. You keep ownership of your User Content. You give GGiT a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, copy, process and transmit your User Content, and to display it back to you, only as needed to operate, provide, secure and support the Services for you (including sending coach messages to our AI provider to generate replies), to review reported content, and to comply with law. We may share it with our service providers only for those purposes. We do not sell your User Content, use it for advertising, or publish it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for a limited time in backups or where the law requires us to keep them.

You confirm that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. We may remove content or limit access to features if content violates these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Intellectual property

The Services, including lessons, text, design, logos, the "ClassRise" name and software, are owned by GGiT or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Historical quotations and public-domain materials remain in the public domain; our selection, arrangement and commentary are ours. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Third-party services

The Services rely on third-party services, such as Google and Apple sign-in, the app stores and payment processing, and our AI provider. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT LESSONS OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR RELIABLE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GGIT AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN TOLD SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $50.

These limits apply whatever the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence or otherwise) and even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. They do not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GGiT and its owners, officers, employees and agents from third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), to the extent they arise from your misuse of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms, any law or the rights of others. We will notify you of any such claim and may choose to control its defense, and you will not settle it without our consent. This section does not require you to cover claims caused by our own conduct.

Dispute resolution: arbitration and class action waiver

Talk to us first. Most concerns can be resolved quickly. Before starting an arbitration or court case, you and we each agree to send the other a written notice describing the dispute and the relief sought, and to try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. Send your notice to support@ggit.dev or to GGiT, 32 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, and include your name and the email address on your ClassRise account. We will send notices to the email address on your account. Any applicable statute of limitations is paused while we try to resolve the dispute informally.

Agreement to arbitrate. Except as described below, any dispute, claim or controversy between you and GGiT arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services ("Dispute") will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect when the arbitration is filed (available at adr.org). The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section. A single arbitrator will decide the Dispute and may award the same individual damages and relief that a court could award, but only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent needed to resolve that party's individual claim. The arbitrator decides questions about the arbitrability of a Dispute, except that a court decides questions about the validity, scope and enforceability of the class action waiver and the mass filing provisions below.

Costs and location. Filing, administrative and arbitrator fees will be paid as provided in the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, which limit the fees a consumer must pay; we will pay all fees the rules require a business to pay. Each side pays its own attorneys' fees unless the arbitrator awards them under applicable law or the arbitrator finds a claim was frivolous or brought for an improper purpose. The arbitration may be conducted by video conference, by written submissions, or in person in the county where you live or another place we both agree on.

Exceptions. Either of us may (a) bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies and stays there, and (b) ask a court for an injunction or other equitable relief to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Services. Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting a concern to a government agency. If applicable law does not allow a particular claim or remedy (such as public injunctive relief) to be arbitrated, that claim or remedy will be decided in court after the arbitrable claims are resolved, and the arbitration will go first.

Class action and jury trial waiver. YOU AND GGIT AGREE THAT EACH OF US MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND GGIT EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL FOR ANY DISPUTE DECIDED IN COURT. If a court finds this class action waiver unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be severed and decided in court, and the rest of this section will still apply.

Mass filings. If 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are filed against GGiT by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules will apply. To resolve them efficiently, the parties' counsel will select up to 10 demands to proceed first as bellwether cases; the remaining demands will be filed and administered after the bellwethers are resolved, and any applicable statute of limitations is paused for them in the meantime. Each claimant keeps the right to an individual arbitration, and nothing in this paragraph prevents a court or the AAA from ordering a different process that is fair to everyone involved.

30-day right to opt out. You may opt out of this agreement to arbitrate by emailing support@ggit.dev with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, including your name and the email address on your ClassRise account. If you opt out, Disputes will be decided in court as described under "Governing law and venue". Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms, or any separate agreement to arbitrate you have with us.

Changes to this section. If we make a material change to this section, it will not apply to Disputes you have already notified us of, and you may reject the change by emailing support@ggit.dev within 30 days after it takes effect; in that case the most recent version of this section you accepted will continue to apply.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act where it applies. For any Dispute that is not arbitrated (including if you opt out of arbitration), you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except that you may bring an individual small claims action where you live. Nothing in these Terms takes away any protection you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived by contract.

Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially violate these Terms, if we must do so to comply with law or to protect the Services or other people, or if we discontinue the Services; where reasonable, we will tell you in advance. If we end a paid subscription for reasons other than your violation of these Terms, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the unused paid period where the store allows it or as required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Your content, Intellectual property, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnity, Dispute resolution, Governing law and General) will survive.

Changes to the Services and these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Services. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Changes do not apply retroactively. If you keep using the Services after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Services and cancel any subscription.

General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms shown to you at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and GGiT about the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the rest of these Terms remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets. We may send you notices by email or in the app. Neither party is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
